Channel 4 have celebrated Layla's successful campaign to increase the number of apprenticeships in Oxford West & Abingdon in a specially made film following the evening news.
Layla Moran was joined by a film crew from Channel 4 to witness first hand how local young people have benefited from the opportunity to gain new skills and get a foothold with local businesses.
Layla said: "I am delighted that Channel 4 have recognised how important apprenticeships have been to the country and the real difference they are making to peoples' lives."
At ACE Training in Kidlington, the Liberal Democrat candidate met students learning vital skills for the building industry, a real growth area in Oxfordshire.
In Abingdon, she caught up with the two millionth apprentice to start since 2010. Paige McConville is studying an Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering Manufacture at Abingdon & Witney College. The skills she is gaining are making a real difference with the high-tech engineering firm FMB based in Oxford where she works.
