Parking: Civil Enforcement

Ever since the Tory controlled Oxfordshire County Council introduced charges at Water Eaton park-and-ride, residents in Kidlington have had to cope with a massive increase in street parking by commuters. Streets all across Kidlington are affected but particularly badly hit are the service roads off Oxford Road and Banbury Road and the area around The Broadway.

The best solution to the problem would be to introduce Civil Parking Enforcement, meaning that the responsibility could be passed to Cherwell District Council who could use traffic wardens to enforce parking regulations.

We call on Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council to introduce Civil Parking Enforcement in Kidlington.
