Layla Moran MP has welcomed the news of the launch of Oxford University's Pandemic Sciences Centre. Layla said: “I really welcome the news that Oxford University has launched the Pandemic Sciences Centre. It’s so important that we do everything we can to learn lessons from this pandemic, and bringing together academic research, the private sector, and public health bodies in this way will make a real difference.
Layla said, “I call on the Government to work proactively with the new Pandemic Sciences Centre to make sure lessons are learned, and that we are as prepared as possible to face any future pandemic. I also encourage the Centre to take part in the public inquiry into the Government’s handling of the pandemic when that begins, and I look forward to working with them as Chair of the APPG on Coronavirus.”
