Layla Moran, Lib Dem MP for Oxford West and Abingdon, has said she’s “delighted” to be taking part in UK Parliament Week, as she prepares to virtually visit classrooms and after-school clubs in her constituency this week.
UK Parliament Week, commencing this week is an opportunity for people around the country to get involved in activities to learn more about Parliament.
Moran will be visiting schools and youth groups across her constituency this week via Zoom and video message, answering questions about Parliament, what it’s like to be an MP, and a bit about herself too.
Layla Moran said: “I can’t wait to meet everyone this week. Thanks to all the kids, teachers, and group leaders who’ve already sent in fantastic questions.
“Teachers, pupils, parents, and everyone else have had such a hard year. This week is a great opportunity to have some fun while also learning about the role Parliament plays in the country and in their community through their MP. It’s not too late to join in! Go to the Parliament Week website and email me to let me know you’re joining in the fun.”
